Ambulance Coming To Imler

Bedford Area Ambulance Service is going to put a BLS Ambulance at the Imler Fire Hall. This will be staffed by the 5 EMT's and 6 First Responders of the Imler Area. Proposed start up date Sept, 1, 2009. There are more meetings to be arranged to finalize everything. The QRS Unit (old Ambulance) has been sold to Bedford Area Ambulance Service. We want to stress that The Memberships you may already have with other services will be covered until there expiration date. The Imler Fire Company was approched by the Bedford Ambulance Service in late January about putting a unit in Imler but the Township and the Fire Company aggreed that the same offer should be offered to Southern Cove Ambulance Service  since they already have contracts signed with King Township and St. Clairsville Borough. When they said they was not financially able to do so, we continued talking with Bedford.
